Eligibility for enrolment in SASVI or a Program

 

SASVI SPECIAL SCHOOL AT PARK HOLME

  • Reception to Year 7 classes.
  • Junior Secondary class.
  • South Australian Certificate of Education Stage I class.
  • Students can attend either on a short term or long term basis.
  • Enrolment can be full time, or shared with the student’s local school.
  • All students have a Negotiated Education Plan which is regularly reviewed.
  • Students receive a high level of support from trained staff.
  • Students have access to adaptive materials/technology.
  • On application, transport assistance may be provided by the Department of Education and Children's Services to support students to attend SASVI.

STATEWIDE SERVICE FOR STUDENTS WITH VISION IMPAIRMENT

Students are in a range of placement options:-

  • South Australian School for Vision Impaired, Park Holme

  • Vision Support Program, Seaview High School

  • Vision Support Centre, Charles Campbell Secondary School

  • Statewide Programs

Eligibility For Enrolment in SASVI or a Program

  • Totally blind or braille dependent.
  • Partially sighted and requiring, due to low vision, intensive support to access the required learning areas and intensive instruction in the extended core curriculum for students with vision impairment.
